U-Pass Brief
Students in Manitoba have been actively working towards a Universal Bus Pass for all post-secondary students in both Winnipeg and Brandon.
In November 2010, representatives of the Federation met with the Minister of Infrastructure and Transportation, Steve Ashton, to discuss provincial support for a UPass.
The Impact of Bottled Water in Manitoba
Students in Manitoba have been leaders in the nation-wide campaign for public water.
On September 7, 2010, representatives of the Federation provided a report to the Manitoba Minister of Conservation calling on the elimination of provincial spending on privately bottled water.
First Aid for Student Aid Report
On February 14, 2008, the Canadian Federation of Students–Manitoba released the final report of the First Aid for Student Aid campaign. The report included a number of effective, affordable recommendations to improve the system of student aid in Manitoba.
This report was presented to both Manitoba Student Aid and the Province of Manitoba.
